Born as Losa Amara Meru in Los Angeles, California, LosA was raised in the suburbs to a Filipina mother and Northeast Indian father. 

LosA grew up singing soprano in the children’s church choir from age 4-16, became the head drum major and president of her high school marching band as a clarinet player, and also played mellophone for Impulse, the open class drum and bugle corps.

While attending Syracuse University and earning a Bachelor’s degree in TV-Radio-Film, LosA played mellophone for the Sour Sitrus Society, attended concerts in the underground student-run music scene, and co-hosted a college radio show called “Eclectic Feels” where she spun 2010s indie music.

LosA returned to Los Angeles in 2018 and has been carving out her own artist journey ever since, beginning her singer-songwriter career in 2022.
